StepUp Intensive program 5000€
From September 16, 2024 to June 13, 2025, i.e. 31 weeks excluding school vacations. The daily schedule includes 6H00 of creations, workshops, masterclasses and other complementary disciplines such as Aikido, Pilates, Feldenkrais...
By virtue of its nature as a private program managed within La Cité Chorégraphique, it is important to note that the StepUp Intensive program does not deliver certification. This decision is in line with the policies established by the organization for this specific program. Participants are informed of this condition prior to registration and are invited to consider this information when deciding whether to participate.
Step 1
The first step is to submit your application and a selection video.
Entries will be open until midnight April 30, 2024.
- The completed registration form.
- Your CV with a photograph (portrait format).
- A video presentation in which you introduce yourself, your background and your motivation for joining the StepUp Intensive program, in English or French, followed by a 2-3 minute solo video, filmed in the dance studio without editing. Make sure you’re dressed appropriately for the dance. The solo can be an improvisation or a personal choreography, but must not be a classical variation from the repertoire.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Candidates selected for the second stage (online audition) will be notified by e-mail during the week beginning May 08, 2024.
Step 2
Online audition dates;
Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m French time
Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 10:30 a.m - 12:00 p.m. French time
Friday, May 24, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. French time
Participants selected after the first stage are invited to an online (visio) audition at La Cité Chorégraphique studio.
The audition will consist of the following tests:
- center ballet class (3 exercises).
- work on a contemporary choreographic excerpt.
- improvisation
Step 3
Participants will be informed of the results by e-mail 10 days after the audition. Successful candidates will then receive a registration form for the Cité Chorégraphique and a contract for the StepUp intensive program.
